It wos worked out by a well-known specialist in the field of sports medicine, the author of popular books about ranning (jogging) and condition training dr. E. M I L N E R. His book "Man and running" was published in U.S.A.
This is a multicomponent program for calculating the level of physical training and optimal sanitation ration of physical exersises and food ration for people at the age of 17 - 70 years old. You can have on display and printer:
1. Your health level and physical condition (low, below awerage, average, above average or high level).
2. An individual program of condition traning, physical exersises, according optimally to your functional capabilities.
3. Your ideal weight and superfluos or insufficient weight in percents to your ideal weight.
4. The optimal calorific value of food for making your weight normal.
5.Your food ration with optimal correlation of albumen, fat and carbohydrate.
This program is intended for processing the results of testing physical condition (health condition), choosing the optimal condition program and food ration for people at the age of 17-70 years old; the rocessing being accomplished on personal computers of IBM-type. The progrpam may be used by doctors, instructors on condition training, and persons practising physical training independently.
The progoam "Apollo" enables to do the following operations:
The program "Apollo" consists of 3 programs written on a floppy diskette for a
personal computer of IBM-type.
The Program 1 (file "INUFS1.EXE")
Determining of physical condition (fitness)and health condition by testing physical capability (for adults on bike-ergometr). A person under test has two relatively little loads (loadings) 4-minutes each, with an interval in 3 min. for rest between the loadings. In the end of each loading the pulse is taken. The first
loading maybe about 300 kgm/min for women and 600 kgm/min for men, the second one - 600
and 750-900 cgm/min accordingly.The load value for
every person under test must be chosen so that the pulse during the first loading would be 120-130 strokes per minute, and
during the second one - 140-150 strikes per minute.
This date (for loadings and puls) are enterd in the
computer, then on the display and on printer there
appears a detailed information about the physical condition
of a tested person and a corresponding programm of physical exercises in optimum.(VO2max.; PWC and physical fitness level).
The Program
2 (file INUFS6.EXE)
Determining of physical condition (fitness)
and health condition without bike-ergometr test being held.
A person being tested makes 20 squating during 30 seconds. The data of weight, height, vital capacity of lungs, pulse
during rest, maximal (sistolic) blood pressure and the
time of pulse resurrection up to the primari level
after 20 squattings. Display and printer will show the
physical fitness level of person being tested and the
according programme of physical exercises.
The Program 3 (file "INRPIT.EXE")
Calculating of the "ideal" weight, super- or
insufficient weight and of optimal food ration for
normalizing the weight. The following data are entered
in the computer: weight, height, diameter of wrist,
sex and age of a tested person. On displey and
printer there appears the information about the "ideal" weight, superfluous or insufficient weight, and also
some recommendations about optimal food ration in
calories and gramms of food (albumens, fets,
carbohydrates) - for normalizing the weight.
