1. Назначение
Устройства спрут и КРАБ относятся к Аварийно-Спасательному Имуществу (АСИ), которыми комплектуются корабли ВМФ - служат для борьбы за живучесть.
2. Краткое описание
А) СПРУТ - Специальное Приспособление для Устранения Течи. Легко устанавливается к месту пробоины в прочном корпусе ПЛ личным составом 1-2 человека. Служит для заделки повреждений прочного корпуса в условиях отсеков ПЛ, не прибегая к созданию противодавления ВВД в отсеке.
Использование в устройстве захлопки с управляющим механизмом позволяет заделать пробоину при отсутствии воздействия динамического и статического напора воды на устройство и личный состав отсека, что является важным достоинством СПРУТа.
Наличие следящей системы гидроподжима позволяет обеспечить необходимую плотность заделки пробоины при изменении глубины погружения ПЛ.
Устройство СПРУТ после заводских испытаний было подарено в честь Дня ВМФ и 300-летия Флота России Санкт-Петербургскому ВВМУ ПП, где прошло испытания и показало отличные результаты. По утверждению командования училища подобных устройств нет ни на одном Флоте мира. В акте испытаний Военные моряки выражают уверенность в том, что СПРУТ может быть рекомендован для оснащения ВМФ РФ.
Б) КРАБ - Комплект Рабочий Аварийный для
Борьбы за живучесть. Применяется на надводных
кораблях с большой осадкой. Крепится
автоматическими захватами за шпангоуты корабля.
Забортный поток абсолютно не воздействует на
устройство и личный состав. После захвата за
шпангоуты забортный поток автоматически
закрывает захлопки и производит гидроподжим
резинового уплотнителя к борту корабля. С
устройством КРАБ легко управляются 2-3 человека.

I woul like to offer You a new invention of a group of Russian engineers. They invented the devices for blocking up of holes on corpses of submarines and other ships. The title of these devices are "КРАБ" ("CRAB") and "СПРУТ" ("OCTOPUS").
The authors have a patent of the Russian Federation for them and a set of professional draughts for producing of these units. The first examples od devices hed been built and used in Russia and showed very good results. Short description of the devices
The authors invented two modern universal devices "CRAB" and "OCTOPUS", for blocking up of holes in submarines and ships corpses.
These devices have no and logs abroad. Their weight is less than 30 kg each.
The devices are made in two different variants:
1) For submarines; with the hydropressing system and the watching system; that regulates a pressing force in dependance of changing the external water pressure (or submerging depth of submarine).
2)For other ships; without hydropressing system.
"OCTOPUS" device is strenghtened on the hole place with the pulling up cylinders and fixed there with the special mechanism.
"CRAB" system is strenghtened on the ribs and stringers of the ship with automatical seizures. Both devices have the same quickchangeble pressing cylinders that can be used instead each other, in dependance of the hole disposition on the corps of the ship. Both devices need 2-3 persons only to use them in the internal space of the ship between the ribs.
